Spring is here!
Save money this season on your project.
If you have a project you want done this season, let's get started on it early. With the proper prior planning you should be able to save a good deal of money. Maybe up to 10%!
Schedules get full quick and then you have to buy at premium prices because we've got to pay workers overtime.
We can help you look for ways to same money and develop a specification that's realistic and achieves your goals.
TOPIC: LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PRICES YOU ARE GETTING....YOU ARE USUALLY GETTING A LOT LESS THAN WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR!
There's an old saying in the coatings industry; "Paint Hides A Lot of Sin." In commercial work you can cover up a lot of defects in drywall and trim with paint.
We've all heard the stories about the old barn painters who would come through a town and take everybody's money. Then, after the first rain storm, the paint would be washed off. Well, there's a lot of that sort of thing that goes on today. You pay for a commercial blast and they hit it with a wire brush instead. You pay for a full prime coat and you're lucky if they spot it in. Heck, most of the time you'll get lucky if you just get a topcoat! Then, about a season, season and a half later, the rust is coming through.
You didn't get what you paid for.....You were cheated!
Make sure you are getting a good job so that you don't have to come back and pay to do it again in a couple years by hiring safe, reputable companies that have the proper equipment and then make sure they are following the specification properly.
Contractor B hauls a drum or 2 of waste off of a job, while Contractor A, who's working a similar job, hauls 10 drums away. HMMMMM......
Some of our customers set very high expectations for what they want done. Usually they're wanting to do the right thing and take care of the waste properly. Reminder: You own and are responsible for that waste so make sure it's disposed of properly.
In any case, remember to thoroughly examine and compare prices that you get from vendors and ask a lot of quesitons. Don't know what to ask? Call us anytime!
